Camilla Ulrikkeholm a réussit a remporter pour la 4ième fois consécutive cette 10ième édition de match racing féminin la «women Lysekill match race cup» .
"C’était sauvage . J’ai du mal a y croire. Nous avons dû lutter comme des folles . Je ne suis pas sur que nous aurions pu faire un 5ième match, tellement nous étions fatiguées. C'était sans doute la finale la plus difficile que j'ai jamais connu ici à Lysekil, « soupire Ulrikkeholm.
La championne du monde en titre Anna Kjellberg et son équipage qui portaient tous les espoirs suédois ont offert à leur adversaire danois une concurrence extrèmement acharnée, mais rien n'y fit:
«C'est ma plus lourde défaite à ce jour, surtout parce que c’était tellement incroyablement séré. Je pense vraiment que nous qui avons utilisé toutes les cartes que nous avions dans notre manche », soupire-Kjellberg, en secouant la tête.
Ulrikkeholm après avoir remporté les deux premiers matchs de la finale était en bonne position. Bien que ces matchs furent séré et intense, avec des bateaux aux contact de nombreuses manœuvres fatigantes . Kjellberg le couteau sous la gorge faisait alors preuve de plus agressivité dans leur troisième match. Partant avec une pénalité, elle réussissait à prendre assez d’avance pour l’éxécuter sans perdre trop de terrain:
"Les pénalités viennent lorsque vous êtes en course avec de petites marges, ensuite L'astuce consiste à les faire sans perdre ", dit Kjellberg.
La lutte s'est poursuivie avec un certain nombre de manœuvres passionnantes jusqu’à l'arrivée, l'équipage suédois réduisant le score à 2 - 1.
Dans le quatrième match Kjellberg est pénalisé dans le pré-départ, après ne s’être pas maintenant à l'écart d’ Ulrikkeholm. Les Suédoise ont pris la tête, mais l'équipage danois gardé le contact, controlant Kjellberg qui cette fois ne trouva trouver le temps de l’éxécuter .
Kjellberg a essayé toutes les différentes astuces pour obtenir un contact entre les bateaux afin d’annuler cette pénalité. mais Ulrikkeholm avec expérience ne tomba pas dans le piège.
"Lorsque votre adversaire a une pénalité, il est important de rester à proximité, mais avec une marge de sécurité," rit Ulrikkeholm.
La dernière chance pour Kjellberg était de prendre le skipper danois, se situait dans le dernier rush juste avant la ligne. Cette manœuvre risquée sembla d'abord être un succès, mais lorsque la suédoise écopa d’une nouvelle pénalité sur la ligne d'arrivée pour ne pas s’être maintenue à l'écart, Ulrikkeholm remportait ce 4ième match important.
"Anna a tout fait, mais nous aussi. Elle nous a vraiment donné quelques cheveux gris », commente Ulrikkeholm.
«Si nous pouvons continuer à naviguer comme ça, les victoires viendront à nous tôt ou tard. Nous nous sentirons plus satisfait de cette réalisation après un certain temps ", dit Kjellberg.
Samedi à Lysekil a commencé avec la conclusion des deux demi-finales commncées la veille, avec les qualifications ede Kjellberg et d’Ulrikkeholm, laissant l’autre suédoise Caroline Sylvan et l’autre danoise Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen se battre pour la médaille de bronze.
Sylvan ne pouvait pas supporter la pression du skipper danois plus expérimentée, et baissait de rytme dans les deux matchs consécutifs:
«Nous avons fait trop d'erreurs,», commente Sylvan.
Camilla Ulrrikeholm avec 72 points creuse un peu plus l’écart au au classement général devançant la suédoise Anna Kejllberg de 9 points (63) suivie de la Française Anna claire Leberre avec 43 points et un retard assez conséquent de 30 points sur Ulrrikeholm,
La française est talonnée par Klaartje Zuiderbaan 46 points.
La prochaine étape de l’international Racing Series Match racing féminin (WIM Series) se tiendra à Sheboygan, Etats-Unis, fin de Septembre, avant la grande finale à Busan, en Corée, à la mi Octobre.
Un WIM Series prize money de 50 $ 000 est en jeu, en plus de l'argent des prix à chacune des cinq épreuves.

– Anna Kjellberg put up fierce competition, but lost 1 – 3 in the final
Camilla Ulrikkeholm did it again. After four final matches, with more drama than the crowds on the cliffs could have wished for, the World #1 secured her fourth consecutive victory in the 10th edition of Lysekil Women’s Match:
“This is just wild. I can hardly believe it. We had to fight like crazy. If it had gone to a fifth match, I don’t even know if we’ve had energy enough left for it. Without doubt this was the toughest final I’ve ever sailed here in Lysekil,” Ulrikkeholm puffs.
Local hope and reigning World Champion Anna Kjellberg and her crew offered the Danish opponent her hardest possible competition, but nothing helped:
“It’s my heaviest loss so far, mostly because we were so incredibly close. I really think it was us who had all the extras up our sleeve,” Kjellberg sighs, shaking her head.
Ulrikkeholm gained a good position after winning the first two matches in the first to win three final. Though those matches were close and intense, with short distance between the boats and many manoeuvres tiring the crews a lot, they weren’t even close to the excitement in the next ones. With the knife at her throat, Kjellberg invested aggressively in their third match. She was penalized, but managed to take the Danish far beyond the top mark and do her penalty turn without losing too much ground:
“Penalties come when you’re racing with small margins, that’s just the way it is. The trick is to take them without losing,” says Kjellberg.
The fight continued with a number of exciting manoeuvres all the way to the finish, where the Swedish crew reduced the Danish lead to 2 – 1.
In the fourth match Kjellberg got penalized in the pre start, after not keeping clear of Ulrikkeholm. The Swedes gained a lead, but the Danish crew kept so close that Kjellberg couldn’t find the time to make her turn. Kjellberg had to slow down, and tried all different tricks to get contact between the boats in order to level the penalty. With her routine and experience, Ulrikkeholm didn’t fall into that trap.
“When your opponent has a penalty, it’s important to keep close but with a safety margin, and we’re quite good at that,” Ulrikkeholm laughs.
Kjellberg’s last call was to take the Danish skipper far beyond the finish line, in order to take her penalty on the way back. That risky move first seemed to be successful, but when the Swede right on the finish line got one more penalty for not keeping clear, Ulrikkeholm could take the important victory, for the match and for the 2014 Lysekil Women’s Match:
“Anna did everything right, but so did we. She really gave us some grey hair,” Ulrikkeholm comments.
“ If we can continue sailing like this, the victories will come to us sooner or later. Maybe we’ll be able to feel satisfied also with this achievement after a while,” says Kjellberg.
Saturday’s racing in Lysekil Women’s Match began with the conclusion of both semis 3 – 0, in the favour of Kjellberg and Ulrikkeholm, leaving Swedish Caroline Sylvan and Danish Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen to fight for the bronze. Sylvan couldn’t stand the pressure from the far more routine and experienced Danish skipper, and fell in two straight matches:
“We made too many mistakes, and then the defeats come,” Sylvan comments.
The next stage on the Women’s International Match Racing Series (WIM Series) is sailed in Sheboygan, USA, in late September, before it’s time for the grand final in Busan, Korea, in mid October. A WIM Series prize purse of 50 000 US dollars is at stake, in addition to the prize money at each of the five events.

XXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOLes 14 de finales s’étant disputés en round robin, la championne du monde en titre la suédoise Anna Kjellberg a obtenu son ticket pour les demi-finales du «women match race» à Lysekil Avec cinq victoires sur cinq possibles.
Elle a choisissait la danoise Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen comme adversaire, vendredi après-midi et prenait une bonne avance rassurante menant 2 - 0 dans les matchs à 3 points en demi-finale.
Le même score dans la deuxième demi-finale, entre la danoise N ° 1 mondial Camilla Ulrikkeholm et espoir locale Caroline Sylvan.
Six équipages ont navigué vendredi matin dans un round robin pour se qualifier en 1/4 de finales.
Coup dur pour la française Anne-Claire Le Berre de France qui se voyait privée de demies-finales ainsi que l’américaine Stephanie Roble. Avec deux équipages Danois et deux Suédois en demi-finale, Lysekil Féminin de match racing 2014 est une bataille scandinave:
"En fait, ce n’est pas très surprenant. Les Scandinaves ont un avantage elles connaissent bien les bateaux et les conditions locales », commente Le Berre.
Après deux matchs dans chacune des demi-finales, Kjellberg et Ulrikkeholm ont le même score 2 - à 0 contre leurs adversaires respectifs, Meldgaard Pedersen et Caroline Sylvan:
«Nous avons certainement trouvé le bon tempo maintenant, mais dans cette compétition c'est juste impossible de se relacher, pas même pour une seconde. Bien qu'il soit beaucoup plus facile d'obtenir des victoires qu’en début de la semaine, quand nous avons eu à batailler beaucoup plus pour chaque point "analyse Kjellberg qui continue:
"Nous sommes payés pour le travail que nous avons fait pendant la semaine, et nous essaierons demain de aussi profiter un peu plus."
Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen est menée 2-0, mais n'a pas renoncé à l'espoir d’accéder en finale:

La triple vainqueur du Lysekil Camilla Ulrikkeholm est particulièrement heureuse de constater qu'elle arrive à manoeuvrer presque exactement comme elle veux dans les séquences de démarrage:
«Quand il n'y a pas plus de vent qu’aujourd'hui, il est très important de partir devant et je pense vraiment que nous avons réussi à le faire. Puis ensuite sur le parcours, c’était difficile, avec les bascules de vent actuelles à gérer », conclut-elle.

Ulrikkeholm & Kjellberg strong in Lysekil semis
– both on 2 – 0 score before Saturday’s last semi matches
With five wins out of five possible, the Swedish World Champion Anna Kjellberg secured her slot in the Lysekil Women’s Match semi finals. Then she chose Danish Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen as her opponent, and during Friday afternoon she also gained a reassuring lead with 2 – 0 in the first to three wins semi-final.
The same score appears in the second semi-final, in which Danish World #1 Camilla Ulrikkeholm is leading local hope Caroline Sylvan.
Six crews sailed off Friday morning in a separate round robin to determine the four semi-finalists, and after that it was clear that Anne-Claire Le Berre of France and American Stephanie Roble had to leave the competition. With two Swedish and as many Danish crews left in the semis, the remainder of Lysekil Women’s Match 2014 is an all-Scandinavian battle:
“Actually not very surprising. The Scandinavians have an advantage in knowing the boats and the local conditions better,” Le Berre comments, expecting the final to be sailed with Ulrikkeholm and Kjellberg on the starting line.
As the standings are right now, it seems like the French skipper will be right. After two matches in each of the semi-finals, Kjellberg and Ulrikkeholm has managed to get a 2 – 0 score against their respective opponents, Meldgaard Pedersen and Sylvan:
“We’ve certainly found the right flow now, but in this competition it’s just not possible to relax, not even for a second. Though it’s a lot easier to get wins now than in the beginning of the week, when we had to fight a lot more for every point” Kjellberg analyses, and continues:
“Tomorrow we’ll get paid for the work we’ve put in during the week, and we’ll also try to enjoy the racing a bit more.”
Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen is two matches down, but hasn’t given up her hope for the final:
“No, we’ve been very tight on the Swedes, so I wouldn’t count us out yet. There are still three matches to go,” she says, supported by Caroline Sylvan:
“Camilla is sailing so smoothly, but tomorrow we’ll get more wind, and we like that.”
Reigning and triple Lysekil Champion Camilla Ulrikkeholm is especially happy for the space she gets to manoeuvre almost exactly as she likes in the start sequences:
“When there isn’t more wind than today, it’s very important to get away well ahead at the start, and I really think we’ve managed to do that. Then out there on the course it’s been challenging, with current and many wind shifts to handle,” she concludes.

Ce n'est qu’au dernier match que, le héros local Anna Kjellberg a réussi à briser longue serie de victoires de la danoise Camilla Ulrikkeholm ici à Lysekil. L'équipage danois n’en remporte pas moins les qualifications du double round robin. les deux équipages passent à l'étape suivante.
Avec une légère brise du sud qui s’est renforcée en passant plus à l'ouest au cours de la journée, et avec un soleil lumineux en permanence sur les eaux, pour ce jeudi pour le Lysekil match race féminin troisième étape de l'International Match Racing Series féminin(Série WIM), qui a débuté cette année à Cork, en Irlande et qui a été remporté par la suédoise Anna Kjellberg dans une finale serrée contre la danoise Ulrikkeholm.
La danoise obtenait sa revanche il y a un peu plus d'une semaine à la deuxième étape WIM Series à Vannes, France.
La prochaine étape après Lysekil sera Sheboygan, Etats-Unis et dernière de la série 2014 WIM à Busan, en Corée, en Octobre.
Ulrikkeholm est N ° 1 mondial a déja remporté 3 fois le Lysekil match race tandis que la Championne du Monde en titre la suédoise Kjellberg n'a jamais gagné son épreuve à domicile. mais on peut supposer que le fait de battre Ulrikkeholm a eu une valeur psychologique importante.

Not until the last match of the double round robin, local hero Anna Kjellberg managed to break the Danish titleholder Camilla Ulrikkeholm’s long row of victorious matches in the Lysekil Women’s Match. The Danish crew still won the round robin, with Kjellberg runner-up, and both now advance to the next stage.
In a light southerly breeze that got stronger and went more to west during the day, and with a constantly bright sun over the Lysekil waters, the Thursday of Lysekil Women’s Match turned into yet another day of propaganda conditions. The event is the third of the Women’s International Match Racing Series (WIM Series), that started this year with the Worlds in Cork, Ireland. There, Anna Kjellberg of Sweden won a tight final for gold against Ulrikkeholm, who got her revenge just a little more than a week ago at the second WIM Series event in Vannes, France. The next stop after Lysekil is Sheboygan, USA, with the conclusion of the 2014 WIM Series in Busan, Korea, in October.
Ulrikkeholm is World #1 and the titleholder in Lysekil Women’s Match after three consecutive triumphs, while reigning World Champion Kjellberg has never won her home event. Today’s Swedish match victory in the round robin didn’t really affect the outcome in Lysekil, but presumably it had more of an important psychological value. At least if you ask Anna Kjellberg about it:
“Yes, it was great to defeat Camilla today. In one way or the other we always manage to make her tremble a little” the Swede laughs.
“We just wanted to give all the spectators a little show” Ulrikkeholm jokes, before admitting that they weren’t sharp enough in the start, and had to pay for that around the course.
In the Scandinavian fight, all the people at the natural grandstand cliffs of the island of Släggö got a taste of what there is to come in the regatta. Kjellberg and Ulrikkeholm put up an intense fight, with breathtaking manoeuvres that made their crews work really hard. All the way around the course, the distance between the two opponents was never more than a boat length, with the Swedish boat in command most of the time:
“We haven’t done our best round robin, but we’re simply best when we have to. Today we lost our first two matches, but then we perform on top again. It’s a really good feeling to bring with us when approaching the next stage of the competition,” says Anna Kjellberg, meaning Friday’s round robin among the top six crews.
“We’re happy to have had some really tight match racing. Now we’ll continue with good starts and brilliant tactical decisions along the course,” Ulrikkeholm comments.
French Anne-Claire Le Berre, Kjellberg’s compatriot and fellow club member of the Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club, Caroline Sylvan, Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen of Denmark and Stephanie Roble, USA, are all among the six skippers that advance. The next stage will decide the semi finalists, and is a new round robin between the six remaining crews:
“Results wise the last few matches of the double round robin was shocking, but somehow we managed to slip through. We have no real big problems, but I’ve made some misjudgements that aren’t allowed in this awesome competition,” the American skipper admits, looking forward to the continuation of the event.
“Tomorrow is another day, and we’ll definitely hang in there.”

Camilla Ulrikkeholm de la Royal Danish Yacht Club continue à gagner et gagner à Lysekil.
Elle totalise 12 victoires avec autant de matchs navigués:
"Nous avons une excellente vitesse et de très bonnes manœuvres, des problèmes mineurs avec juste des détails qui n'affectent pas le résultat des matchs du tout», dit Ulrikkeholm, rêvant de terminer sans perdre un match.
"Bien sûr, ce serait génial, mais tout peut s'effondrer et nous devons faire attention à cela, aussi."
De bonnes conditions de navigation, avec un soleil rayonnant et un vent d'ouest assez stable, pour lancer pas moins de 30 matchs pour conclure le premier round robin et faire la moitié du second, Ce mercredi à Lysekil, la métropole de la voile sur la côte ouest suédoise.
La Champion du Monde en titre la locale Anna Kjellberg a eu un début quelque peu fâcheux avant de conclure le mercredi avec trois victoires d'affilée, pour une troisième place:
«Je suis tellement fier que nous n'ayons pas laché lorsque les matchs ne se passaient pas bien. Nous avons utilisé chaque pause pour discuter de nos erreurs et de trouver des solutions, alors maintenant nous nous sont beaucoup mieux », commente Kjellberg, avant d’ajouter"Camilla attention maintenant!"
"Nous sommes un peu déçus d'avoir perdu quatre de nos matchs aujourd'hui, mais nous avons fait quelques erreurs stupides», dit l'Américaine Stephanie Robles.
Anne-Claire Le Berre de Brest a fait une très bonne journée,remportant six matchs pour grimper à la deuxième place 8 - 3:
«Aujourd'hui, nous avons fait de notre mieux et avons navigué de façon fantastique. C’est très difficile ici, les bateaux utilisés dans les pays scandinaves sont grands , mais maintenant, nous avons trouvé la vitesse et nous voulons accrocher à la finale " conclut la française.

Danes dominate Lysekil Women’s Match
– Ulrikkeholm excels, still undefeated on a 12 – 0 score
Title-holder Camilla Ulrikkeholm of the Royal Danish Yacht Club just continues to win and win in the Lysekil Women’s Match. Now she’s on 12 wins after as many sailed matches:
“We have excellent speed and very good manoeuvres, and just minor problems with details that don’t effect the outcome of the matches at all” says Ulrikkeholm, now dreaming of an event totally without losses.
“Of course that would be great, but everything can fall apart and we have to be careful about that, too.”
The Wednesday in Lysekil, the sailing metropolis on the Swedish West Coast, offered great sailing conditions, with the sun beaming over the event and a quite stable westerly breeze, enough for no less than 30 matches to conclude the first round robin and get half ways into the second. Reigning World Champion and local hope Anna Kjellberg has had a somewhat untoward opening of the Lysekil Women’s Match, the third stage out of five of the Women’s International Match Racing Series (WIM Series). She did, however, conclude her Wednesday with three straight victories, taking her to a third place on the scoreboard as well as raising the crew mood considerably:
“I’m so proud that we didn’t give up when the races didn’t go our way. Instead we used every pause in the tight schedule to discuss our mistakes and find solutions and improvements, so now our spirits are a lot better” Kjellberg comments, directing her next quote in a Danish direction.
“Camilla better beware now!”
Kjellberg & Co shares third place so far, on a 7 – 4 score, with Stephanie Roble from the USA:
“We’re a little disappointed to have lost four of our matches today, but we just made a few silly mistakes and we’ll fix them for tomorrow” the American says.
Anne-Claire Le Berre from Brest had a very good day, won six matches and climbed to second overall with her 8 – 3 score:
“Today we made our best and sailed fantastically. It’s very challenging to come here and race in the larger boats used in the Scandinavian countries, but now when we’ve found the speed we want to hang on to the final” the French concludes.

"Oui, nous nous sentons vraiment comme chez nous ici, le site, le plan d’eau et les bateaux. Les DS 37s sont physiquement et techniquement exigeant, et nous aimons vraiment ça! "Commentaires Ulrikkeholm.
Stephanie Roble est également invaincue, après une journée bien remplie dans le bel archipel suédois de la côte Ouest. Elle a battu la Suédoise championne du monde en titre Anna Kjellberg, et avec une victoire de moins et un match en moins qu’ Ulrikkeholm, l'Américaine suit le skipper danois comme son ombre à la deuxième place avec son 4 - 0.
"Nous sommes heureux de la façon dont les choses se sont passées aujourd'hui, il ne faut pas oublier que nous sommes en partie une nouvelle équipe pour cette régate. Nous avons eu beaucoup de bons plats à emporter, aucun problème de conduite du bateau aujourd'hui. Dans ces bateaux, il faut un énorme travail d'équipe »explique t-elle.
L’évènement important de la journée a été le match entre Stephanie Roble et la Kiwi Claudia Pierce, dans lequel cette dernière a mal jugé la distance au bateau américain lors dans le «Dial up» de pré-départ, percutant Roble avec une grande force. Lorsque deux bateaux de quatre tonnes chacun s'entrechoquent, ça fait du bruit et ça se sent ... Heureusement, personne n'a été gravement blessé:
"Eh bien, je vais probablement avoir une jambe enflée demain, mais rien de plus" Roble dit.
«Pour la première fois en six années de match racing, j’ai eu une panne de cerveau et je suis heureuse qu’il n’y ait pas de blessé" commentait la kiwi considérablement ébranlée après le crash.
Les locaux ont plutôt bien commencé avec, Anna Kjellberg et Linda Rahm du Royal Göteborg Yacht Club, respectivement deuxième et quatrième des qualifications.
"L'adrénaline dans les pré-départs est ce que j'ai plus perdu», dit Rahm, qui a déja remporté l'épreuve de Lysekil en 2007 et 2008 terminant vice-champion du monde.
"Mon équipage a fait un travail merveilleux, j’ai donc été en mesure de naviguer au maximum et avec de petites marges" dit-elle visiblement heureuse d'être de retour sur le circuit match racing.
La française Anne-Claire Le Berre est en 3ième position avec 2 matchs gagnés sur 3 courus.

– Roble also undefeated on second place with 4 – 0 scoreWhen Lysekil Women’s Match begun Tuesday, World #1 Camilla Ulrikkeholm continued her winning streak from the previous WIM Series event in France. Five wins on as many sailed matches so far in the round-robin, takes her straight to the top of the scoreboard:
“We’ve come out from the starts pretty well, and then been able to make our own choices on the course. That makes it a lot easier to control your opponent” she says.
Ulrikkeholm is aiming for her fourth consecutive title in Lysekil Women’s Match, the third stage of the 2014 WIM Series and an event she has developed a special relation to:
“Yes, we feel really at home here, with the venue, with the waters and with the boats. The DS 37s are physically and technically demanding, and we definitely like that!” Ulrikkeholm comments.
Stephanie Roble is also undefeated, after an eventful day in the beautiful Swedish West Coast archipelago. She beat the Swedish World Champion Anna Kjellberg, and with one victory less than Ulrikkeholm, the American now shadows the Danish skipper on second place with her 4 – 0 score:
“We’re happy how things went today, considered we’re a partly new team for this regatta. We had a lot of good takeaways today and no big boat handling issues. In these boats it’s a huge team effort” she explains.
The big talk of the day was the match between Roble and Kiwi Claudia Pierce, in which the latter misjudged the distance to the American boat when dialling up in the pre-start, and T-boned Roble with great force. When two boats of four tons each crash together, you can be sure to both hear and feel it… Fortunately no one was badly injured:
“Well, I’ll probably have a bit swollen leg tomorrow, but nothing more than that” Roble says.
“I got a brain fade for the first time of six years of match racing, and I’m just happy no one got hurt” a considerably shaken Kiwi commented after the crash.
The local heroes, Anna Kjellberg and Linda Rahm of the Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club, shares fourth place in Lysekil Women’s Match with their 3 – 2 score:
“The adrenalin in the pre starts is what I’ve been missing most” says Rahm, who won the Lysekil event in 2007 and 2008 when she also held the runner-up position on the world ranking.
“My crew has done a marvellous job, so I’ve been able to race on maximum and with small margins” she fills in, visibly happy to be back on the match racing circuit on her home waters.

C’est la dixième année que Lysekil accueille l’épreuve de match racing féminin du 4 au 9 Août
Cette 3ième étape des Internationaux match racing series, attire les équipages féminins les mieux classés au monde .
La numéro un mondial la danoise Camilla Ulrikkeholm dejà vainquer 3 fois ici tentera de remporter une quatrième victoire à Lysekil.
La championne du monde en titre la suédoise Anna Kjellberg essaiera de gagner sa première victoire chez elle.
- Chaque année, je pense que nous avons le meilleur plateau, la concurrence est plus féroce que jamais, dit l'initiatrice et la gestionnaire de projet Anna Holmdahl Blanc.
les WIM Series ont débuté cette année avec les Championnats du monde à Cork en Irlande début Juin, remporté par Anna Kjellberg. Camilla Ulrikkeholm et son équipage ont gagné la 2ième étape du Golfe du Morbihan à Vannes il y a une semaine en battant la néerlandaise Klaartje Zuiderbaan en finale. Kjellberg terminant à la quatrième place, après des matchs difficiles pour la troisième place contre la française Anne-Claire Le Berre. Parmi les huit équipages en tête aux Championnats du monde, 7 vont maintenant se retrouver à Lysekil .
Les entraînements débuteront le lundi 4 Août, et les round-robin de qualification le Mardi 5 Août. Les finales seront courues Samedi 9 Août-
Le point culminant de l'année devrait être à Lysekil dit la suédoise Anna Kjellberg.
"Avec le formidable public, l’atmosphère est incroyable. Et nous réussissons particulièrement bien avec les bateaux les DS «
-» Nous n'avons encore jamais gagné le Lysekil match race féminin, nous allons donc faire en sorte qu'il n'y aura pas de quatrième victoire pour Ulrikkeholm» déclare une Kjellberg décidée.
Mais la bataille sera rude avec : L’américaine Stephanie Roble, nyzeeländskan l’aguerri Claudia Pierce et la camarade de club de Kjellberg Caroline Sylvan et Linda Rahm du Royal Gothenburg SS qui sont aussi aspirants à la victoire. Rahm a déjà gagné deux fois à Lysekil et est en train de faire un come-back:
"Nous allons voir avec quelle rapidité nous pouvons nous réunir et redevenir une équipe gagnante « dit-elle.
Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen, au cinquième rang mondial, et enfin le numéro un mondial Camilla Ulrikkeholm qui déclare:
- «Si nous prenons un quatrième titre ici, nous aurons fait la moitié du chemin»
- « C’est devenu un événement spécial pour nous. Le soutien du public est impressionnant, et tous ces gens sur les falaises connaissent et apprécient la voile".
